The consultants at Deloitte are back with their annual Chief Procurement Officer study, and again it's pretty good.
Not surpisingly, among the questions in the CPO survey involved what the top operational priorities were for the next year. CPOs were ask to name their top three initiatives, which were then ranked by the percent of respondents who put each area as one of their top three:
As can be seen, consolidating spend with few suppliers topped the list, followed by increasing competition among vendors and becoming more collaborative with suppliers.
The report is big on procurement officers to embrace digtiization to address complexity and realize the priorities cited above.
