In recognition of the proliferation of robots, especially for distribution, on display at the ProMat 2019 show in Chicago this week, we take a look here at what countries have the highest level of industrial robot "density."
As provided by the International Federation of Robotics last week, density is defined as the number of industrial robots per 1000 manufacturing workers, as shown by the top rated countries in the graphic below.
As can be seen, South Korea and Singapore by far top the list, with 710 and 658 robots per thousand manufacturing workers, far ahead of number 3 Germany, with a density number of 322.
The US comes in at 7th place, with a density ratio of 200.
