It's not exactly news, but over 20 years Amazon has built out an almost impossible to believe network of fulfillment centers of various types.
The scope of that network was well captured recently by CNN, which produced the following graphic that compares Amazon's single FC in the Northeast region in 1997 to the large number of facilities in the area now:

Across the four different types of facilities, by our count there are more than 30 sites, including the smaller delivery stations and Prime Now hubs.
But however you slice it, it's a lot of facilities for sure.
