Kate Vitasek was the Managing Partner of Supply Chain Visions until October 2013, a small consulting practice that specializes in supply chain strategy and education. She has authored dozens of articles on suppy chain management and logistics, and is a frequent speaker at industry events.
Kate is also actively involved in the academic community. She is a faculty member for the University of Tennessee ’s Center for Executive Education and she teaches MBA classes on performance management and lean supply chains for Wright State University. She developed and teaches seminars for the Warehouse Education Research Council and she also finds time to be on the peer review board for the Journal of Business Logistics.
Kate has worked for P&G, Kroger, Accenture’s Logistics Strategy Practice, Microsoft and Modus Media International, a global 3PL. As a practitioner, Kate has served in marketing, operations, and general management roles - including Director of Marketing, Director of Supply Chain, Vice President of Operations Services, and Vice President and General Manager for Global Accounts.
